Fire Chief

The city of Farmington is accepting applications for the position of full-time Fire Chief. This position is responsible for the administration and day-to-day activities of the Fire Department and works with other city management team members to ensure the delivery of city services are efficient and cost effective. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in fire science or related field; strong leadership and conflict resolution skills; progressively responsible supervisory and fire service experience; and excellent interpersonal relationship skills; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the job responsibilities. Salary: $80,484 - $100,654 DOQ and excellent benefit package.

Dakota Communications Center Opportunity:

Dakota Communications Center Dispatcher Position
Dakota Communications Center (DCC) accepts applications on a continual basis for the Dispatcher position. Upon receipt, applications are reviewed to determine if the applicant meets the minimum qualifications listed in the position description. A determination letter is then sent out to the applicant notifying them if they will continue to the interview process. Those candidates who meet minimum required qualifications will be contacted for interviews. Regularly scheduled interviews are held in March, July and November of each year dependent on DCC staffing needs.
