Task Force
The Farmington School District’s School Board and Farmington City Council provided direction to create an Arena Task Force to discuss and make a recommendation concerning the short term and long term solution to indoor ice facility needs. Farmington School District staff members, City of Farmington staff members and members of the Farmington Youth Hockey Association met and discussed the possible makeup of this Task Force. The Task Force met over a three week period of time in order to complete a needs analysis and make a recommendations concerning a solution to short term and long term indoor ice facility needs of the community by the end of January 2010. A facilitator also attended the meetings to assist the Task Force through the process and deliver a final recommendation to the City Council and School Board in early February 2010.
