The Community Development Department is comprised of planning and zoning, code enforcement, economic development, building inspections and permits, and heritage preservation functions. The department works in unity to support safe and sustainable development throughout the community.

Highway 3 Corridor Plan

A Highway 3 Corridor Plan has been developed to reflect the vision of an attractive and vibrant corridor that positively reflects on the community, assists in economic growth and provides a safe and efficient mode of transportation for area residents and visitors. Downtown Redevelopment Plan

Farmington City Council adopted the Downtown Redevelopment Plan at their meeting on April 18, 2016.
